The risks of terrorism are likely to increase during the year 2024 amid the continuation and worsening of open armed conflicts (civil wars in many countries, the Israeli escalation in Gaza, and international conflicts), and the possibility of political unrest as a result of the continued deterioration of economic and social conditions due to conflicts, natural disasters, in addition to the increasing risks of expanding local conflicts to a broader regional scale, as a result of differences in interests between countries and actors.
