Extremist demands: Ben-Gvir and banning Muslim access to Al-Aqsa during Ramadan

18/02/2024

Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, called for preventing Palestinians from praying in Al-Aqsa Mosque during the month of Ramadan, as he said on his account on the “X” platform, on February 17: “We cannot take any risks. Residents of the Palestinian Authority should not be allowed to enter Israeli territory during the month-long Muslim holiday, which is less than a month away.”

In this context, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will hold, on Sunday, a closed discussion within the cabinet during which the Israeli security policy for the month of Ramadan will be determined, specifically concerning the entry of Muslims from the West Bank and East Jerusalem into Al-Aqsa Mosque.
