The future of the nuclear deal is linked to the ability of the Iranian regime to achieve a balance between internal considerations and the concessions it will make to foreign powers. This process appeared to be untroubled when the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action was agreed upon in 2015, as Iranian society was more stable and understanding at that time. However, the current situation does not portend that the Iranian regime will have the same margin of flexibility and maneuverability.
The third issue focused on clarifying power equations within the Iranian political system, in light of the growing protests and oppositions, as well as the nature of the American negotiations concerning the Iranian nuclear program, and the future of the nuclear deal.
