Crossing Paths: Counterterrorism Efforts in Kenya

Kenya has recently adopted a number of accelerated steps with the aim of strengthening its efforts to Counterterrorism in the country, by intensifying the Kenyan government’s actions at the internal, regional and international levels. This comes in light of the Kenyan government’s renewed commitment to confronting the terrorist threat that has emerged as a prominent feature of the security situation in the Horn of Africa.

However, Kenyan efforts face a set of mounting obstacles, most prominently those related to border troubles, and economic and social crises.
