The National Center for Middle East Studies was keen for the first issue of “Israeli Affairs” to focus on the most significant Israeli projects in the Red Sea and their effects on Arab national security, in particular, given the instability in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab as a direct consequence of the war on Gaza. Israel is trying to recrystallize its strategic and security strategy in this region, including the strategic presence of international powers with its different plans and motives in the Red Sea.
